Well built, solid unit
By: Michael S on 29 July 2021I’ve had this cage close to two weeks now, for what it is, it does the job well, plenty of room to work inside the cage parameters, especially for your heavy lifts (squats/bench press) the cable/pulley system runs smoothly I sprayed some silicone spray on the metal shafts which carry the weights and the cables run smooth as. The unit feels solid has a sturdy foot print only sways a little during intense pull ups or similar but otherwise holds together well as long as you are working inside the cage. I’m liking it more and more each workout. Good home/garage gym even for heavy lifters I’ve been lifting for about eight years using an Olympic half rack setup, I’d pick the cage over the half rack now that I’ve experienced it.

Good buy for the right price
By: Michael S on 22 July 2021After a rough start with purchase and assembly, the power cage and lat/row attachment came together well, initial thoughts, for the price I purchased it for it is a good buy (I bought it during a sale) I personally wouldn’t pay the RRP as in my uneducated opinion there are better racks out there for around same price including the lat/row attachment. In saying that, after my first workout I was hooked, coming from an Olympic half rack setup this new setup is awesome. There is a bit of movement of the cage when doing pull ups and it’s not the sturdiest if working outside the cage, but inside the cage it is sturdy and strong!. I plan to write another review in the future after I’ve had it for a decent amount of time. In short if your looking for a good garage setup that doesn’t need bolting to the ground then this will do you fine. The cables and cable housing could be better especially at that price point as well as the lat bar and straight bar that are included (I have an ironmaster smith machine with cable attachments and these are heaps better built including the lat bar that came with it) however while using both the lat and row options during my first workout they do the job well not as smooth as my ironmaster but still good.
